There is a war in the Ukraine robbing thousands of innocent people of their lives and home. The independence of the Ukraine is under threat from Russia and its supported terrorists. In this uneven war, the Ukraine cannot be left on its own.
The Latvian people cannot and must not remain indifferent. We should respond to the Ukraine’s request for help.
By donating, we can provide real help ensuring that civil and military persons injured in the Ukraine would receive treatment and rehabilitation in medical institutions of Latvia.
At the same time, Latvia’s doctors will have an opportunity to go to the Ukraine and work there in hospitals to help the gravely injured.
Providing help will be supervised by the Ukrainian Conflict Victim Support Foundation that will assist patients in traveling to Latvia, will ensure medical treatment and rehabilitation, as well as take care of Latvia’s doctors’ safe trip to the Ukraine. Average cost for one rehabilitation or medical treatment session is EUR 2.000, though each case is considered individually.
Let us not be indifferent and let us help the war-torn Ukraine.
