The Russian army has ruined the lives, houses and families of Ukrainian people. The childhoods of all Ukrainian children have been stolen. Fathers have stayed in the country, but mothers together with children have travelled for thousands of kilometres, becoming refugees.
Life in a foreign state must be started from scratch - temporary housing, temporary work, temporary school and friends. With that comes uncertainty whether there will be a home to go back to.
The festival Laima RendezVous Jūrmala brings together artists from Ukraine, Georgia, Moldova, the United Kingdom, Poland, Portugal, Estonia, Israel, Latvia, to remind us that the war in Ukraine continues and that we must not forget it. We call for donations to the most vulnerable part of the war - the Ukrainian children! Donations will enable for the humanitarian aid to be sent to Ukrainian children. The soldiers' children will have the opportunity to visit the psychoemotional camp in Latvia, as well as the individual assistance to the children of refugees.
