From 7 May to 11 June, Riga hosted the fourth pianist Andrejs Osokins Freedom Festival, which also this year was dedicated to Ukraine. This donation campaign was created especially for the time of the Festival, and the funds donated during the campaign, together with the Festival ticket revenues, will be redirected to humanitarian, medical and pet aid in cooperation with “Biļešu Paradīze”, Ziedot.lv, the association “Tavi draugi” and the Embassy of Ukraine in Latvia. Together with cooperation partners, we will also assess the urgent needs in Ukraine in order to provide the most valuable support to the Ukrainian people.
This year, the Festival and its launch events have taken place for more than a month with a wide range of concerts, master classes, conversations about current events, special meetings of Festival musicians with Ukrainian families, charity campaigns and other events. It brought together Latvian and Ukrainian musicians, actors, artists and other professionals, renowned in Latvia and abroad, including “Labvēlīgais Tips”, “Melo-M”, Ralfs Eilands, Katrīna Gupalo, Georgijs Osokins, “Kremerata Lettonica”, Sonora Vaice, Ieva Parša, Marlēna Keine, Edgars Ošleja, Iveta Cālīte, Platons Buravickis, Gundars Āboliņš, Dita Lūriņa, Ģirts Krūmiņš, piano quartet “Quadra”, Kristīne Garklāva, Kristīne Rudzinska, Mārtiņš Daugulis, Andrejs Osokins himself, musicians, artists and actors from Ukraine and many others.
