Anastasija is 16 years old and she has completed 9th grade. She enjoys computer design, Latvian and English languages, drawing and music. She has many friends in Latvia as well as abroad. But unfortunately, Anastasija has suffered from infantile cerebral palsy since childhood and is not able to sit up on her own or to walk. She was born prematurely in the 33th/34th week of pregnancy and weighed only 1 560 grams.
Anastasija only differs from her peers physically – she has well developed speech, logical thinking, memory and emotional perception.
Her relatives are trying to support her and create circumstances for her to not feel discomfort in her position. The rehabilitation methods available in Latvia are regularly used. But a more complete rehabilitation support would be available in other countries.
We can provide our support and help Anastasija by donating for her rehabilitation in the International Clinics of Rehabilitation in Truskavets and Tula. Anastasija dreams of receiving her 12th grade graduation diploma by standing on her own feet!
