Artūrs is six years old and suffers from a severe disease – spinal muscle atrophy. For him to be able to stand on his own little feet and not to spend his life in a wheelchair, treatment is necessary. His health is currently, small improvements can be observed. In 2007, Artūrs had hip surgery – he is also scheduled to have deformation corrective surgery for his knees.
A special programme has been developed for the patients of the International Clinics of Rehabilitation in Truskavets, Ukraine, suffering from spinal atrophy. Artūrs’ health can be improved by regular rehabilitation courses.
For every parent, his own child is the most favourite and the sweetest – as the boy’s mother writes. Little Artūrs is very sweet and clever. More than anything else in the world, he wishes to stand on his own little feet.
