Tihons is two and a half years old, but he can not crawl, sit, or stand up. He was born slightly prematurely and by Caesarean section. His diagnosis is a mixed form of infantile cerebral palsy. Despite the disease, Tihons is joyful and happy, he likes everything that children love at his age – to play ball, read books and watch cartoons.
A unique neurophysiological rehabilitation method is provided for cases of infantile cerebral palsy by the International Clinic of Rehabilitation in Truskavets, Ukraine www.reha.lviv.ua. It is an expensive process that is not covered by the state. However, the results are very promising and provide great progress in Tihons’ development. The earlier the results of movement development are achieved, the greater the chances that with time he will be able to take care of himself more and it will benefit both his parents and society in general. Thanks to the support of others, Tihons was provided a rehabilitation course in the International Clinic of Rehabilitation in Truskavets, Ukraine. His health has improved.
The treatment in Ukraine has to be continued. A single rehabilitation course costs LVL 2 200. The family is asking for the support of contributors because they cannot afford the treatment.
