Children with severe hearing disabilities have different dreams. They wish to hear the voices of their mothers; to be equal when playing with their peers and dream of hearing piano music or movies.
Digital hearing aids are necessary to provide the opportunity for three hearing-impaired children – Edgars (three years old), Elīna (four years old) and Artūrs (11 years old) – to hear, to learn to speak and to read
State covered linear hearing aids deform sound and create a sound explosion effect, which often causes headaches. With linear hearing aids, language perception becomes difficult and children cannot understand what a teacher is saying. To achieve better results, digital hearing aids should be used as early as possible. Two children are of preschool age and this means that there is hope that they will be able to learn to speak the language and will start to learn to read – it is quite possible that they will be able to attend comprehensive schools.
LVL 6 200 are needed to help purchase digital hearing aids for three children.
