Today, the first Ziedot.lv consignment - plastic boats, tents, rubber boots, portable gas stoves, food and hygiene goods, as well as animal feed - is going to Kahovka HES flood affected districts.
The Latvian society has donated nearly 100,000 euro during the week, which has turned into practical assistance to the affected people. In close cooperation with the Ukrainian Embassy in Latvia, the current needs and recipients of assistance -the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Ukraine, the Ukrainian border guards who have been engaged in rescue operations, as well as the relief organization of voluntary rescuers, have been clarified.
